JUSTICE SERVED!!! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FAMILYS FUTURE?

May 1, 2025by Familynest0

This week, we learned some heavy news:

Osinachi’s husband has received a death sentence by hanging for the tragic and painful role he played in her demise. But today, my heart isn’t celebrating, it’s grieving. Not because justice was wrong… But because the damage to the family runs deeper than any courtroom can mend. What Is the Hope for This Family Now? Let’s take a moment to look beyond the headlines: • Children who witnessed love turn into violence • A home that once resonated with worship, now filled with sorrow • A family that was once united by faith, now shattered by fear. Is there still hope for a family after such a tragedy? YES! but it will require more than just a verdict. It will demand intentional healing, community support, and God’s restorative power. Family Life Must Not Be Left to the Courtroom . Let’s be hones, The law can punish wrongdoing, but it cannot raise children. It can sentence a man, but it cannot restore cherished memories. It can declare guilt, but it cannot rebuild shattered trust.

Yes, justice has been served.
But what about the children? What about the family left to pick up the pieces?

Let’s Consider the Real Impact
• A mother is gone.
• A father is facing punishment.
• Children are caught in the crossfire, broken, confused, and grieving.

Where do they find hope now?

Justice Doesn’t Heal a Family

The reality is:
• Justice can hold someone accountable.
• But it can’t mend a broken home.
• It can’t comfort a child at night.
• It can’t help them learn to trust again.

Only love, support, and healing can truly do that.

So, What Can We Do?

Families around us are hurting? some in silence.
Let’s not wait for tragedy to strike before we take action.

Here’s how we can make a difference:
• Speak up if you notice signs of abuse because prevention is the best way out!
• Be a safe haven for someone in distress
• Teach your children what real love looks like. Empower them to make right choices!
• Support those who are grieving or feeling lost

What can we do to support children and families after such trauma?
How do we rebuild what violence has shattered?

we’d love to hear your thoughts.

Scripture to Hold On To

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Let’s not just talk about justice.
Let’s be part of the healing. I hope the government has a provision for children who goes through such trauma?

Because families need more than justice.
They need hope.
